Hello! I'm planning to buy a new desktop computer soon, and I want to know what kind of parts I should have for a customized built PC. I'm not much of a computer gamer, so I'll hardly be playing much of the hardcore games they have these days. I'll mostly be using it for Photoshop, Microsoft Office, internet browsing, watching movies & shows (Blu-Ray included) up to 1080p definition, listening to music, and miscellaneous downloading. I want to know what kind of requirements I should get for all of this which is memory, processor, graphics card, and hard drive. I also want to know about the certain kind of prices available for which one might be the best one for me to pick. Any tips and help are appreciated! Thank you~

Have you ever stopped liking a celebrity?

Say you had a celebrity that you liked and you liked their movies, or music, or tv show but then they did or said something that you didn't like so you stopped liking them. Has this happened to you? What if one day, the celebrities style changes and you just don't like the new them. What if they kicked a puppy??

Would you ever stop liking a celebrity or are you loyal no matter what they do?
But seriously though if someone did kick a puppy then I think they should get arrested on punished for animal cruelty

What makes you hate a celebrity?

I know some people say its wrong to hate celebrities because you dont really know them in person but like say you know about them and what they stand for. Say you see their movies or listen to their music or watch their show and you just can't believe them! What is it that makes you hate them?

You think they have no talent?
You think they are moronic, a douchebag, or slutty?
You think they are fake or just doing it for the money?
You just don't like their work?

I don't mean to say that there are any celebrities that I hate but what are your reasons for hating certain celebrities?

Programs like imovie for pc?

I have a project. I need to tell a story using only picrures and add a music track to it. Then of course i need to present it so ill need to make it a mpeg or avi or something.

This is easy in imovie. But i maunly use a PC. What programs can do what i need?

What are some good bands like Trapt?

I'm more into Rock and Alternative, rather than Pop Culture, Asian, or Country music. Not that into Screamo anymore, as not many bands have screamers I can actually understand. I like bands like:
Eyes set to kill
Trapt
Theory of a deadman
Hinder
Skillet...

So on...

I'm trying to be open to different genres of music, but I still favorite rock.

I noticed that:

60% of the music I listen to is Rock
15% Screamo
15% Asian
5% Pop and
5% Country
music...

any suggestions to any good bands--or not bands (solo singers are fine I guess, so long as they use instruments other than voice, I guess it's fine)

P.S. I'm okay with explicit lyrics.

Can Someone Identify This song? (Chinese)?

I was listening to an Asian radio stream in iTunes and came across this song, so I started to record it. I only got about 48 seconds of the song. Hopefully that will be enough to Identify the Song with.

How to revitalize the punk scene in my area?

Everyone is either into non-music (dubstep, techno, rap) or into bubblegum punk/rock (Green Day, Blink 182, Sum 41.)
My band plays a lot locally, and it really gets me tired seeing people show up with pop-punk t-shirts (we are a Pennywise-esque punk band.)
What should we do to draw real punks and keep the idiots away?

I listen to most of those bands as well. Pennywise may not be "no adjective, straight punk rock" but is an offshoot superior to the pop punk trash.
By your logic, Rancid and Operation Ivy wouldn't be punk either.

Question #13:

Why am I so apathetic?

Well let's just say I used to be pretty emotional. When I was younger I used to get all worked up over nothing (which was pretty teenage-girl-ish, especially for a guy like me).

Now it's like nothing touches me. For instance, today I was at my parent's house and we had to put the family cat down. I grew up with that cat. He was my best friend all my grade, middle, and high school years. I actually cried thinking about it a few months ago when my parents said he was getting senile. But now he's gone and I just don't feel anything... like it doesn't even matter.

Another example is a few days ago my close friend's grandmother died. They were really close. Like REALLY close. She was practically raised by her grandmother. I felt no sympathy what so ever. I felt wrong not to feel anything, but I just couldn't help it. It's like, my emotions are totally gone. Or they're covered up completely. Or maybe just numb.

I've lost interest in everything, except maybe music and that's it. I can't enjoy anything. I don't find pleasure in sex at all. I'm never turned on or horny no matter what.
I've had a lot of problems in the past few months, and now I just don't care to try and fix them anymore. I might as well just deal to live with them rather then go about trying to be rid of them.

It's not like I hate anything either. I just don't care. When I'm to my friends they seem to really notice that I just don't want to talk or be around them. It's easier to hide with my family though. They're pretty easy to fake out anyway. And my friends have started to almost agitate me. Like the only thing I can feel is either emptiness or agitation.

So is there anything that might be wrong with me?

Do most people only like one form of music?

I go to friends houses and go through their cd's and see mostly the same genre of music. When they come to my house, however, they are always asking What's this?, what's that? when they go through my cd's. I suppose if I had to take some music to a desert island, I would take punk/metal/thrash/grunge types of cd's, but I also like classical in small doses, world music in large doses, and even golden oldies get my toe to tappin. I don't care so much for country music, but I do have the Judd's first album and Rodney Crowell's Diamonds and Dirt album. I also have a fondness for bluegrass and opera. I really like music that I have a hard time classifying, like Leonard Cohen or Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds. How about you? Do you listen to just one type of music or are you eclectic like me?

My best friend might kill herself, what can I do?

Kari and I have been friends for 10 years. In the last few years we have gotten much closer, and she has started telling me stuff, like about how she feels that there really is no point in living because nothing comes of life anyway. She talks about death all the time and listens to music that talks about dying and murder all the time. She is also really, really skinny and she once told me she went a whole week without eating much of anything at all. It terrifies me that I might lose her. I watch her carefully for signs of things getting worse, and I think they have... There is no one else to ask about this and I am so scared. Someone help me please?
She is 19 and I am 17... And thank you all for the feedback. I feel stupid for not knowing it earlier but I have decided to go to her parents and her aunt. She still has alot of respect for her aunt and I think that would make a big difference! Thanks again!
