Question: Does blogging hurt a rappers career?

( Back )

Answer #1:

I don't care if they blog or not as long as they put out good music.
BQ: I don't know but I bet he would've hated how fake hip-hop's gotten.

Answer #2:

...rappers should stick to rappin instead of tryin to be e-reporters, period; answer to the Beef question: Joe Budden, because he "talks too much".

Answer #3:

no.
kanye west blogs too.

BQ: With a lot of whack MCs like Lil Wayne for example.

Answer #4:

Blogging isn't the reason Joe Budden gets no respect. The reason Joe Budden gets no respect is because he is a loudmouth. Fans hate loudmouths, especially loudmouths who act like they are better than everyone else (see Kanye) and spend their time dissing well-respected rappers (see Method Man vs. Budden fiasco). Seriously, out of all the whack rappers he could have complained about, Budden chose to get mad because Meth was higher on someone's list than he was.

So in conclusion, no. Blogging by itself doesn't hurt a rapper's career. But blogging does give us a deeper insight into a rapper's personal opinions. And if they portray themselves as an idiot, they are going to get hate for it. Ice Cube started blogging a couple months ago. Bet you didn't know that didja?

BQ: No one. Biggie wasn't into beefs. Pac was the instigator into their whole feud.
